Epping Forest College

Epping Forest College is an Essex-based Further Education College with 5,000 students and approximately 900 desktops.

The withdrawal of support by Microsoft for both Windows 98 and NT 4.0 was going to severely affect Epping Forest College’s IT infrastructure. A significant overhaul of the college’s IT services was essential, including a cost-effective and flexible implementation of a new Windows 2000 Active Directory Infrastructure.

Plan-Net delivered a flexible and effective migration to Active Directory, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Exchange 2000 that was both within budget and within timescale. In addition to the original requirements, Epping Forest College engaged Plan-Net to provide ongoing 2nd line desktop support.
