Specialised recruitment for senior IT staff
Using TechSelect for recruiting IT professionals in the £45,000+ bracket brings the value of real-world technical understanding to the recruitment of more senior players.
- Highly suitable candidates. Candidates are assessed by Plan-Net senior technical staff at peer or managerial level. Our assessment takes into account particular management styles or experience, or complex IT skills within specialised areas.
- Low Risk. Your initial investment will only be 5% of the salary, with the remaining fee payable only when a candidate is placed with you. Other ‘search and select’ services require a large fee up front, but don’t always find a suitable candidate.
- No Exclusivity. You won't feel locked in, or limited to one provider.

How TechSelect works
TechSelect follows a simple but effective three-stage process which is designed to filter out the most suitable senior candidates as efficiently as possible.
- Step 1: Manager Consultation. A Plan-Net manager will meet with you to discuss your precise needs, encompassing managerial experience, technical background and people skills. We can liaise with HR, as well as with IT, to map the skill set required for the position.
- Step 2: Peer Assessment. Selected candidates will undergo a face-to-face screening and assessment by our senior technical consultants, who’ll analyse the suitability of the candidates in relation to your role.
- Step 3: Assessment Report. You’ll receive a report outlining the candidate skill level, strengths, and suitability for the position – you’ll know exactly how they’re rated by our industry professionals and why.
